The internet is a many-faced beast with a personality disorder: some sites are tame, others trouble, and a few, like chatroulette, are grab-bags of people who shouldn’t be allowed to leave their basements and the most incredible people you’ll find on the net. Luckily for me, I stumbled upon the latter. Dustin McSwane, a passionate fashion stylist and the topic of this post, along with Brain ‘Geno’ Nettle, a photographer now stationed in NYC, found their way onto my monitor, and now onto A&V.
It’s not often that you have the opportunity to have a genuinely solid conversation with random strangers, especially not a stranger with Dustin’s credentials. Graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, maintaining a site full of technical design works, showcasing a portfolio of stunning arrangements and gorgeous shoots, and holding an impressive client list which spans everyone from American Apparel to The Albertans, Dustin carves into the industry with lines of bold blues or daring bnws. And if it weren’t enough to simply be talented, he and Geno were quite honestly some of the most neighborly gentlemen you’ll ever enjoy randomly meeting on the internet. Most definitely check out Dustin’s work if you are interested in great design and be sure to keep an eye out for any upcoming shows.
